1:1 School Nurse (LPN)
AB Staffing is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the 2025/2026 school year!
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Active Washington state or compact LPN license in good standing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric, home care, or school-based nursing.
- Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience required.
- Ability to ride and supervise on the school bus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certification: CPR/BLS.
- Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., standing, sitting, lifting up to 40 lbs).
Job Description:
- Contract through the 2025/2026 school year 22.5 to 30 hours per week.
- Follows the academic district calendar.
- Openings in High School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 nursing care during school hours and transportation times.
- Monitor and manage ventilator and tracheostomy equipment, including suctioning and emergency interventions.
- Administer medications, tube feedings, and other treatments as ordered.
- Document daily nursing notes and maintain accurate health records.
- Collaborate with school staff, family, and healthcare providers.
- Implement and follow the students Individualized Health Plan (IHP).
- Ensure a safe and clean environment on the bus and in the classroom.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Salary: $990 $1,080 per week
