CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR- PLUMBING / HVAC FOCUS
$2,000 HIRING INCENTIVE

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Supervisor with experience in plumbing and/or HVAC systems to oversee the construction of low-cost, energy-efficient homes for income-qualified individuals and families. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on construction experience who is passionate about quality, efficiency, and making a difference in our communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supervise day-to-day construction of plumbing/HVAC systems on-site
· Ensure homes are built to meet energy-efficient standards, safety codes, and project specifications
· Coordinate and direct crews
· Monitor project timelines to ensure on-time completion
· Maintain accurate records of job progress and report to management as required
· Promote a safe, organized, and respectful job site
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Minimum of 3 years of construction experience, with plumbing and/or HVAC background strongly preferred
· Licensed plumber certification is helpful, but not required.
· Valid driver’s license required
· Ability to pass Department of Corrections training and background check
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to operate a forklift and carry heavy objects
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes related to plumbing and HVAC work
LOCATION: Springfield, SD
STARTING SALARY: Depending on experience. $27.84 per hour minimum.
BENEFITS: SD Housing pays 100 percent of employees health, dental and vision insurance plus a percentage of family coverage. Option for employer contributed Health Savings Account. Additionally, paid family leave, eleven paid holidays, and accrual of 15 vacation and 14 sick days annually. Participation in state retirement plan with SD Housing matching 6% and option to contribute to supplemental retirement.
