Golf Services Assistant (Division of Parks and Recreation)
SALARY
The minimum salary is
$18.286 per hour This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable.
Pay Grade 512

The purpose of this classification is to assist the head professional and oversee the operations of an assigned golf course to ensure the highest level of operations and customer service.
This position manages the Play Golf Lex junior program including all programming.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Hires, supervises, trains, reviews and evaluates the work of subordinate staff; assigns daily tasks and sets priorities
- Purchases merchandise and food/beverage to be sold in the golf shop and manages inventory
- Assists with golf course preparations to include daily set up, maintenance of the grounds, and setup for tournaments and special events
- Markets and promotes programming/events
- Answers phone calls, schedules daily reservations and special events, places special orders of merchandise for customers and handles customer complaints
- Performs administrative functions to include completing paperwork, approving time, data entry and reporting, and cash reporting and deposits
- Oversees operational areas including opening/closing of the shop, golf cart fleet, and shop IT management/maintenance
- Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
All certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to work nights and weekends
