Location: Stoughton, WI – only 20 minutes from Madison and Janesville.
Pay Rate: $26+BOE ($1.50 shift premium)/hour.
Schedule:
- st Shift – Monday‑Thursday (4:30 am‑3 pm).
- nd Shift – Monday‑Thursday (3 pm‑1:30 am).
Weekend Shift – Friday‑Sunday (6:30 am‑7 pm).
Responsibilities
Position, layout, fit‑up, cut and weld in accordance with shop drawings.
Interpret and apply AWS basic weld symbols and typical welding symbols.
Read and comprehend a Bill of Material to determine required materials.
Perform detailed quality checks following D1.1 standards.
Operate tools and equipment, including torch, grinder, air arc and overhead cranes.
Perform all job duties following company safety rules and proper use of assigned personal protective equipment.
Qualifications
Must pass an AWS 2G flux core multi‑pass weld test on a one‑inch plate.
Experience with multi‑pass flux core wire feed welding.
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
Capable of walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing as required.
Skilled in using basic hand and measurement tools.
Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.
Willingness to work mandatory weekday and voluntary Saturday overtime.
One (1) year or more of welding/fabrication work experience at meets or exceeds performance expectations.
